The conference will take place in the Aldemar resort hotel, which provides a perfect environment for all activities, scientific, business and recreational. The Island of Crete offers a unique atmosphere for the AgEng2008 conference combining history, memory and culture of more than 3000 years long, together with modern agricultural, industrial and tourist development. The conference will comprise scientific sessions, oral and visual (posters). The latest developments in agricultural and biosystems engineering will be also presented. The exhibition, which is organised for the first time in the AgEng conferences, will include agricultural engineering products and agricultural technology equipment as well as associated services. A strong and comprehensive scientific Program will be combined with the industry exhibition, stimulating exchange of information and opinions between the actors involved in the different sectors of agricultural engineering. The parallel organisation of scientific sessions with the industry exhibition will provide unique possibilities of bringing, in close contact academics, industry players, manufacturers and services providers. The subjects for which we are seeking your contributions, are similar to the previous AgEng conferences, however we intend to emphasise in the latest developments related to the role of European Agriculture as energy producer. Scientific trends in agricultural and biosystems engineering will be highlighted and new issues will be explored.
